Interns will commit to at least five hours per week, primarily working from our downtown Minneapolis office. We’re happy to work with your professor or academic department if you have an option to earn academic credit. Interns will focus on one of the following departments:
- Field organizing.
The North is looking for three to five hour per week “micro-internships” for full and summer semester.
We’re calling these “micro-internships” – low maintenance, focused projects that can help build your resume and gain real political experience. We’re happy to work with your professor or academic department if you have an option to earn academic credit. You will work remotely most days but attend one (maybe two) in-person meetings per month and send weekly reports on progress. Weekly meetings may be moved to video chat depending on availability.
We’re specifically looking for micro-internship candidates who have any of the following interests or experience:
- Some experience legislature and would like to monitor lobbying activity.
- Graphic design.
- Data experience with Excel, Access, GIS software, or SQL.
All applicants should be:
- Motivated and organized.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong writing and communications skills.
- Able to work remotely.
- An effective communicator.
- Able to respect confidentiality of your work.
